Choosing the color of your car is like choosing its personality. Toyota does not disappoint with unique interesting paint colors. For the 2021 TRD Pro lineup, we get the new “Lunar Rock” exterior color.
2021 TRD Pro Lunar Rock Color
The annual unique TRD Pro paint color selection for 2021 is Lunar Rock, and (pun intended) it is out of this world. The color is a chilling grey/green designed to look stunning on and off the streets.
Lunar Rock will be exclusive to Toyota’s TRD Pro lineup, available on the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia. Lunar Rock will replace 2020’s Army Green color.
Toyota’s new color release tradition began in 2015 starting with its Inferno Orange — a tradition it has carried on ever since. Unique one-year-only color vehicles have held their value’s better than standard colors, and have helped Toyota make its cult-like following even stronger.
2021 TRD Pro Upgrades
In addition to the unique color options, the TRD Pro series is Toyota’s most off-road capable lineup. Along with the new color, the 2021 TRD Pro vehicles also come with some additional upgrades.
LED High Beams For All Models
All 2021 TRD Pro models now feature LED high beams in addition to their current RIGID LED fog lamps. The 2021 TRD PRO 4Runner also gets bumped up to standard LED headlamps.
Enhanced Off-Road Capabilities for the TRD Pro 4Runner
The 2021 TRD Pro 4Runner gets new black TRD alloy flow form wheels complete with Nitto Terra Grappler tires. These upgraded tires are stronger and more rigid, while still giving the car an aggressive look.
The addition of re-tuned 2.5-inch Fox Internal Bypass Shocks aids in trail driving motion isolation and high-speed performance. The front Fox shocks improve trail capability with its TRD-tuned coil springs giving it an inch of front lift. The back 2.5-inch Fox shocks provide “piggyback-style remote reservoirs to maintain damping performance in the most demanding off-road terrain” according to Toyota.
2021 TRD Pro Lunar Rock Availability
The 2021 TRD Pro series should be available towards the end of 2020, with speculated pricing from $45,000 to $65,000. The Lunar Rock color might be out of this world, but we can’t stop thinking about how much we want to get one of these TRD Pro vehicles covered in earth mud, dust, and dirt.
